The St. James Fire Department serves Saint James and the Village of Head of the Harbor communities providing fire suppression and rescue services.

The SJFD is primarily comprised of volunteers and supplemented by paid EMS staff that respond to alarms 24/7, 365 days a year, handling over 1,300 emergencies annually.
